Angled Frechie Tutorial

Angled Frechie Tutorial

This is a quick, simple and easy to do nail tutorial, i hope you enjoy.
You will need:
  • Base coat
  • Nail coat (optional)
  • Tip colour
  • Top coat
  • & tape or plasters

So lets get started...
-First of all you want to paint your base coat onto the nails and let it completely dry before moving on.
-Then apply your nail colour if you have chosen to do so and let it dry, if not miss this step and leave your nail clear.
-You will then need to get your tape of plaster, get the tape/ plaster ready to apply to your nail by sticking it so your hand a few times to lose some of the stickiness as you do not want to remove any nail varnish when taking the tape of.
-Apply your tape or plaster in the angle that you want, remember they don't have to be the same.
-Apply your tip colour using downward strokes, so you want to use your brush from on top of the plaster/tape the the end of your nail. This prevents nail varnish seeking under the guard (plaster/tape).
-Once completely dry remove your tape and view the finished result, Apply a top coat for extra shine and protection.

Bodycare haul

Bodycare haul

So i popped into my local bodycare to pick up a few things that i needed or wanted to try out, i didn't get much but thought id share what i brought which were;
-Bristows hair refresh dry shampoo
-Simple kind to skin purifying cleansing lotion
-Simple anti-blemish moisturiser

Bristows hair refresh
dry shampoo
£0.99p

Firstly i picked up some dry shampoo which i believe EVERY girl should have handy. It refreshes hair in between washes without the need for water. Its so quick and easy to use, you cant go wrong. Dry shampoo revitalises dull and lifeless hair while adding some volume and bounce. This spray leaves my hair feeling clean and fresh with an exotic fragrance.
Directions for use:
  • Shake can vigorously before use & in between sprays.
  • Hold can upright and about 30cm from your hair. Spray lightly & evenly into roots of your hair.
  • Use your fingertips to massage into hair at root and leave for 2-3minutes.
  • brush through toy hair to remove any excess-no water required.

Cleanse, Tone, Moisturiser

I then picked up two simple products as i heard so much about them and have used a few of their products before.
I picked up the Simple kind to purifying cleansing lotion & the Simple anti-blemish moisturiser. I only picked up a cleanser and moisturiser as i already have the toner at home. And with being a beauty student i learnt that the best way to stay ageless when i am older is to start cleansing, toning and moisturising (CTM)at an early ages. I have already seen a difference in my skin and it hasn't even been a week since i started CTM twice a day, morning and night.
Directions for best results

Cleanser
£1.99

Remove as much of you makeup using water or face wipes if that is how you remove it.Apply the cleanser to cotton wool and gently cleanse with upward and outward movements. Making sure that you cotton wool rubs of clean. You may repeat if needed.
Follow with a toner.

Toner

Then apply generously to cotton wool and wipe in gentle upward movements over the skin morning and night.
Follow with a moisturiser.

Moisturiser
£2.49

Smooth  gently into your face and neck using upward and outward movements.

Dripping paint with white background

Dripping paint with white background

Ok so with this nail design i copped everything i did in my plain dripping paint nail design but after doing my clear base i applied two coats of white to block out my nail.

I then added all the dripping pain design in my chosen colours, but on my ring finger i added a glitter nail varnish to add a unique look. After all of the drips have dried i applied a clear top coat to lock in my design and stop it chipping.

High waisted pink and white striped shorts

Primark
Size 10

Price-£10

I thought i would do you a 'Half outfit of the day' its only half as i am only showing you the shorts on and how they look.
I love these shorts so much they fit so nicely and are really comfortable. As you can see i have folded the bottoms up as i like that look on shorts, its up to you weather you leave the pockets pouches poking out or you fold them away. I think on theses shorts that the little pockets poking out looks really cute.
In these pictures you can really see the type of pink that they are as the pictures above really didn't do the colour justice at all! I cant wait for a nice sunny day to wear these out, the weather in England isn't that good at the moment but fingers crossed it will improve

Dripping paint

Dripping paint

This is my first attempted at this nail design so it isnt the best standards but you get the ideas. But i think it is such a unique design i love it. What i love about it is that you can either have 10 different colours on each finger or you can make a pattern with colours.

You will need:
Nail varnish of your choice.
A dotting tool, but if you are like me and don't own one then a bobby pin will work just as well.
Base/top coat.
  • First , apply a base coat.
  • Then apply your polish to the tip of your nail in a uneven french tip shape.
  • After that you want to start to apply your polish in 'dripping' design with your dotting tool. the best way to do this is by connecting a dot to the polish.
  • You can now add a bigger dot at the end of each drop.
  • Apply a top coat to protect your design.
  • And there you have it, a dripping paint nail design.

The next time i do this design on my nails i think i might add a blocked out white background to help the nails stand out better.

I hope you enjoyed!

Chevron tip nails

Chevron tip nails

This nail design is completely new to me and i love it already, i love the idea of the diagonal "french tip" we can call it. it works with so many different colour combinations. Plus its not that hard to pick up with a few tries.
Paint a clear base coat onto your clean nails to stop the colour varnish from staining your nails. Then paint your nails one solid colour of your choice . Let them completely dry .
Brush your secondary colour over the tips in a diagonal line against the tip of the nail, starting from the edge of your nail up towards the center, or in the opposite direction if you find this easier.

Try having ago! see what colours suite you.

Primark, Miss Selfridges, H&M and Body care haul!!

Primark, Miss Selfridges, H&M and Body care haul!!

Ok so this is my first ever haul its not big at all, its just a few things in picked up before the weekend. If i miss anything out that you would like to know then please ask.
St.Moriz self tanner in Dark £2.99

So first of i popped into body care to pick up my holly grail tan. I LOVE this tan its amazing. It is basically just a rip off of st.tropes self tanner but at a fraction of the price. I apply this with a tanning mit and it leaves no streaks at all.

'You & me are mean to be xxx' T-shirt
Size 8
Originally £7.99 but reduced to £5!

I picked up this T-shirt in the
H&M sale i just thought it was
really cute, i'm into low cut
vest style T-shirts at the
moment as the warmer weather
is getting here.

High waisted Pink and white striped shorts
Size 10
Price-£10

As soon as i saw these babies in Primark i just had to buy them! i first brought them in a size 8 as that is my average size but i had to change them for a size 10 as the top two buttons wouldn't do up because the go quit slim at the high waisted banned. So if you are going to buy some like this then i do recommend you trying before buying as it will save you time with not having to go back and change them.
The pictures don't do them justice but the pink is gorgeous! it reminds me of pink candy floss at the fun fair.

My Favorite buy of the day!

Galaxy print dress from Miss Selfridges
Size 8
Originally £39 knock down to £20
+ 10% student discount so got it for  £18!!

This dress was by far my best buy of the day. I just saw it and had to buy it then realized it was on sale, i was in love i tell you. The galaxy effect pattern that they have gave the front and back panel is just amazing. I wasn't to sure about the cut out back as i had never worn a dress of that style before but it was very flattering, i would love to own a few more dresses like it.
It was perfect for the party i was going to be attending this weekend aswell.

Me at my friends house just before the party

First ever pay check!!

First ever pay check!!

My first pay check
Wooo! Just got my first pay check EVER! I am so so excited to spend it.I have recently got my first ever proper job at jimmy spices restaurant, i have been working there for about a month now and its so fun. meeting loads of new people .
The only thing i don't like about working there is i want to eat all their food instead of working, but the upside of that is after my shift i get to eat what ever i like!

Before this proper job i have done a few other thing, i have been a stable girl for about a year and a half. I did handy jobs for the old women over the road such as walking her dogs doing her gardening which was so much fun.

What was your first job, and did you get excited about your first ever pay check?

Dip dye your hair with me!...

, by Unknown

Dip dye your hair with me!...

I have dip dyed my hair about 3 times now and it has turned out great every time. I love this style as it adds something unique to your hair as it wont turn out the same every time.
                   Before                                           After
So lets get started...
You will need:
  • An old T-shirt you don't mind getting dye on, you can either throw it away after or just keep it as your dying top like i do.
  • A comb that will wash easy.
  • Hair dye applicator .
  • And kitchen roll to put under your top just in case it leaks threw.
  • You may need to pre-lighten the tips of your hair before dip dying if you hair isn't blonde like mine.

Also you will need the colour dyes that you want to you. i am using  Directions hair dye. You can use almost any brand you like. I find this brand the best as they not only add colour to your hair but because they are a conditioning hair dye they condition your hair at the same time. Directions dye also blends really well; if you are planning on using more than one colour like me.
Directions website
Wash your hair as normal but
do NOT use conditioner as the
 colour will not take.
Split your hair into two.
Then start gradually adding the
colour to the tip of your hair until
you have completely covered all
of the tips making sure you fad out
of the colour by using softer strokes.

Wait for 15minutes then wash out.
If you are only adding one dip colour
you can stop at this stage and style
your hair as normal. If not then read on.

Repeat the same with the purple but only adding the purple the the tips of the pink, making sure you fade out with lighter strokes and less product where you what the purple to end. wait a further 15 minutes then wash out.

Tips...
  • Once the 15minutes are up, blast the ends with a hair dryer till it looks as dry as possible, this holds in the colour better.
  • When washing the colour out after the 15minutes only use cold water! This stops the colour from leaking from your hair. but don't worry the water might never run clear.
I hope you enjoyed reading this, let me know if you have dip dyed your hair before and what colour combos you use!
